The fifth edition of Asteriks Sparring Days 2026 once again positioned Niš as an important destination on the European taekwondo map. More than 200 athletes from 10 different countries gathered for a high-level international training camp focused on sparring, intensity, and preparation for the upcoming competitive season.

Organized as part of the pre-season taekwondo preparation, the camp brought together elite athletes, experienced coaches, and diverse fighting styles, creating an ideal environment for performance development.

Strong Organization and Clear Vision

According to Vladan Nikodijević, head coach of Taekwondo Club Asteriks and organizer of the camp, Sparring Asteriks Days continues to grow each year in both scale and quality.

“Our goal is to provide athletes with a structured training program and high-quality sparring. With participants from multiple countries and different competitive backgrounds, the camp offers valuable experience ahead of the 2026 season,” said Nikodijević.

The camp begins with lighter sessions and gradually increases intensity, following a clearly defined plan and program designed for peak performance.

International Coaches and High-Level Athletes

The presence of Farzad Zolghadri, coach of the Bulgarian Taekwondo National Team, further emphasized the international importance of Sparring Asterix Days.

“From the first day, it is clear that this is a high-level taekwondo training camp. The intensity and quality of the athletes suggest that these four days of sparring will strongly influence performance in the upcoming season,” Zolghadri stated.

His participation confirms the camp’s reputation as a serious international platform for athlete development and competitive preparation.
