The 16th edition of the competition has officially kicked off in Bucharest, turning the Romanian capital into a true center of international taekwondo. The event takes place at the impressive Polivalent Hall, featuring 10 competition areas prepared for the tournament.
In his opening statement, Konstantin Apostol, President of the Romanian Taekwondo Federation, welcomed all participants and highlighted the impressive scale of this yearβs event β 1,400 athletes from 57 countries across five continents, along with 57 referees from 27 nations.
The organizers have ensured a flawless setup, with volunteers, technical staff, and full security services, all working together to provide the best possible experience for athletes, coaches, and national team representatives.
Once again, Dracula Open proved why it has become one of the most respected taekwondo tournaments in Europe β combining top-level competition, professional organization, and the true spirit of fair play.
